This is a quick, 10-minute registry alternative for couples who simply need to make their union official under New Zealand law. It is not a formal ceremony; instead, we meet at a local Nelson location to complete the paperwork and make your legal vows in front of your two witnesses.

Frequently asked Questions
- Connection: First, we will have a quick chat (in person or online) to share your vision and make sure we are a great fit.
- Select your package: Once we have connected, you can select your preferred package directly through my website. This captures all your essential wedding details in one place so I can start prepping your date.
- Pay your deposit: A 20% non-refundable deposit (or full payment if you prefer) officially locks your date into my calendar.
My main officiating days are Thursday through Sunday. However, if you are planning an intimate elopement or a weekday registry-style ceremony, I am always happy to look at Monday to Wednesday availability on request.
- The Creative Process: An initial consultation (coffee or Zoom) to see if we click and discuss your vision.
- Legal Guidance: I will walk you through the New Zealand marriage licence process so you do not have to stress about the paperwork.
- The Filing: I will ensure all legal documents are submitted to Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) promptly after the “I do’s”.
- Access to exclusive content: You will get access to my online Planning Suite, which provides vow guides, wedding tips, and planning resources.
My approach is simple: more heart and zero stress. Whether we’re deep-diving into your history for a Bespoke celebration or keeping things Sweet & Simple, you’ll have the full support of my Planning Suite. These are the tools I’ve built to help you nail your vows, sort your music, and feel completely prepared—so that on the day, you can show up and actually enjoy being married.
The short answer is: it is always worth asking!
Because I have little ones at home, my travel capacity depends on the date, location, and overall timing of your day. I am generally more likely to make out-of-town travel work for weddings held in main cities or places with direct transport links.
How travel fees work:
- Nelson Tasman Region: Local travel within the Nelson (Nelson & Richmond) area is included in your package.
- Just out of Nelson: For ceremonies in Golden Bay, the Lakes, or further afield, a small travel fee of $0.80 per km applies.
- Out of Town Weddings: Travel costs, mileage, and overnight accommodation (if required) are calculated on a case-by-case basis.
If you are planning a celebration outside of Nelson, send through your date and venue on the contact form, and we can chat through what is possible!
- Rehearsals: If not included in your chosen package, a venue rehearsal can be added for an additional fee.
- PA System: Use of my high-quality PA system and wireless microphone (so your guests do not miss a single word) for $100.
